Cost Accounting a Practical Approach
This text is directed to undergraduate accounting and business students who have completed a couse in financial accounting or the principles of accounting. The book is intended for use in a one-semester course to include all the major practical concepts and techniques involved in the cost accounting functions of a manufacturing company. It is designed for students, and it is presented in a manner that will encourage students to undertake the study of the often complex procedures encountered in the planning and control functions of manufacturing cost accounting. Each topic is explained in a straightforward manner with examples, illustrations, and graphs; every chapter ends with a summary, self-study problems, a list of terms and concepts, and a set of questions. All concepts and techniques are structured in such a way that the student, with reasonable effort, will understand them.
